Only recently in Steam was the autumn festival of demo versions “Games to be!". And now the new festival dedicated to Halloween – Steam Scream Fest. As it is easy to guess from the name of the article, a considerable number of demon games that should be released in the foreseeable future were also poured here. I tested some of these demons, recorded a video of the passage and compiled my subjective opinion about them. With what I would like to share with you.

Compared to the previous steamfest "Games to be!", The Halouin festival is somewhat limited in terms of games with its theme. But, regardless of this, there are more than three hundred demo versions of the games of various genres. This is not counting a demon of already released games.

At first it seemed to me that this was a little. Therefore, when selecting games that I would like to look, I slightly lowered the bar of the requirements to gain at least a dozen. But he very quickly realized his mistake, realizing that it was possible to reach the fifty games that I purely physically cannot have time to play in a short time (after all, there is work, personal affairs and all that …). So, I quickly returned the bar of the requirements. And still, I have accumulated for consideration 23 games. True, 5 of them, in the process fell out of the list for various reasons. Something turned out to be too different from what I expected, something did not start, but somewhere when moving to the game page, it turned out that "this product was not available in your region". It would be possible, of course, confuse and find a way to launch games that there was no access or they were not launched. But, since the list still remained more than decent, I decided not to bother with them.

And we will begin with the classic Point & Click quest about the girl approx (yes, as the name of the game). This girl is not simple, but the daughter of death itself. True, like many children, he considers the dad to be too strict and forbidding her absolutely everything. That is possible therefore, this is impossible because all that. And here, she constantly dreams of some guy who supposedly needs help. Well, one day, the girl decides to escape.

How easy it is to guess, it is from this that the game begins. And spoiler, during the shoot of the demo and ends.

Visually, the game looks very pleasant and Tim Burtonovsky, and the color scheme is made in black and white tones. The voice acting is also very pleasant.

All management hangs on the mouse: interaction – with the left button, viewing – right, opening inventory – with a wheel up, closing – respectively, down. And that’s it. This is all management. So, you can play the game one right. Well … or left if you are left -handed. Very convenient and intuitive.

Gameplay is, I repeat, the classic Point & Click quest, with the advantages and disadvantages inherent in this kind of quest.

The latter include unhurried animations that cannot be missed, in case of repeating actions and pixelhanting.

But to the honor of the authors Prim, Both of these problems, they tried to solve.

In the case of unhurried animations, when repeating various actions, some of these animations are not completely lost. And pixelhanting was simplified by the backlighting of objects with which you can interact. This backlight does not appear immediately, but it can be opened literally by a couple of actions, at the very beginning of the game.

Hmm, above I said that all the control of the mouse is in the mouse, but the backlighting of active objects is exhibited, it seems, to the gap. However, I think it changes little. Especially if you consider it to be a supporting, you can not use it. But, in my opinion, it is better to highlight objects than to crush the entire screen in search of a missing object, without which the passage is tightly tight.

Another frequent problem of such quests is a strangeness and, sometimes, seeming (and sometimes not apparent) illogical resolution of puzzles. And with this in Prim Full order! Not in the sense that they are illogical, but just the opposite. All the actions that need to be done to pass the available part of the game are completely logical, although this does not mean that some of them will not have to reach the test and error method.

Even to me who have not played in this kind of quests for almost 20 years, everything seemed intuitively understandable. However, it is possible that outside the demovement, riddles may stop being as logical, but the demo itself is setting up in a positive way.

By the way, she sets a positive attitude not only and not so much the logic of mysteries as an unobtrusive humor who gives a light degree of blackness, so to speak.

After the end of the demo, the video is launched by its author, who explains the idea of ​​the game and promises various buns to those who make a financial contribution to its creation (not intra-game). And at the first impression, for lovers of the genre, the game deserves the same.

All in all, Prim left behind an exceptionally pleasant impression. So, lovers of classic Point & Click quests should pay attention to her. And perhaps not only them. The game seemed to me quite friendly to newcomers. In any case, within the demonstration.

Behind this strange name is a shooter in the surroundings of the Second World War, but with the paranormal abilities of the protagonist.

Unfortunately, unlike the previous game, KVLT turned out to be stupid shit and below I will try to explain why this is so.

Firstly, pressing the Escape keys in the main game menu means exit from the game. I find it difficult to understand how you need to be a moron to do so. After all, when you try to get out of some kind of submenu, you intuitively press an escape, but the game may not instantly respond to pressing and after re-pressing, with a high probability you can fly out of the game. But this is still a trifle.

Secondly, having launched the gameplay, you can not go into control settings and change anything there. You need to go to the main menu and already change so. And the preservation in the game at the stage I went, I did not notice. That is, if you want to change something in the control settings (even just change the sensitivity of the mouse), start first. Okay, maybe the demo is short and does not need saves, and they will be normal in the game itself (which is not a fact).

Thirdly, the technical condition of the game also leaves much to be desired. In half an hour of the game, she flew out twice. Once on the record and once out of recording. Okay, at least the brakes were not noticed, although if she also slowed down with this schedule ..

Fourthly, opponents, in terms of movement, behave like blanks from ancient shooters. Moreover, shooters where the movement of opponents realized bad.

Fifthly, I did not notice in the game of any impact from the application of damage to the main character, because of which he died twice, not even noticing that they managed to apply a bunch of this very damage. And as we recall, the saves in the demo are not provided.

Sixth, the impact from their weapons is also quite mediocre.

Grandfish, it is stupid to play stupidly. Even paranormal abilities, in that part of the demo that I managed to see, did not cause much interest – a shield that protects against damage, and a paranormal vision that allows you to see or develop all.

Well, you probably already ask if there is at least something good in this game? Well, I will answer you! Yes, I have. It is so wretched that in order to understand this to me less than half an hour.

Conclusion – give me a Mrq Casino review paranormal ability that will develop this dull dumb shit consisting of a strange set of letters KVLT.

This is a clear release date. And to be honest, it would be better not.

The next game from my list – Monsters Domain, It is an action-RPG in the open world, with craft and construction of the base.

The game begins with the fact that the two dude awaken some kind of evil, after which one immediately dies, and the second manages to run away and I first thought that there was ahead to play for this very second dude. But no, playing for the very one, awakened evil (or even evil).

At first, the protagonist flies in the image of the spirit and in this state he is almost immortal. But in order to get the opportunity to do anything, you need to move into any accessible corpse in order to take it under your sensitive control. Thus, it must be understood that immortality in the image of the spirit is limited by the presence or absence of these same corpses, which could be entered.

Naturally, you can get instilled in defeated enemies. However, I still would not have recommended to engage in constant relocation from one dohlyak to another, since the character is dumped in this case. Conceptually, it looks strange that I cannot move back into my corpse if it is not torn to shreds, well, okay.

As for the aforementioned pumping, we have a tree of skills. But it is not available in demo. Therefore, I saw only an increase in the level that influenced only access to the equipment of the corresponding level.

The combat system slightly reminded me Dark Messiah Of Might And Magic, but, unfortunately, simplified to complete primitivism. There is a blow, a charged blow and a block. In addition to hand -to -hand weapons, you can use bows and magic. I received spells from the enemies I killed and they work similarly to a weapon. That is, I need to take a scroll with a spell in my hand to cast it. I did not notice any effects of spells except direct damage. So, I didn’t even understand what is the difference between lightning and fireball.

The primitiveness of the combat system is compensated by the ability to raise the army of the dead into battle, each of which can be given a name and equip to their taste. The trouble is that in a crowding mass brawl, the combat system is even more depressing, since it is difficult to understand where yours are, and where the enemies are and who to beat at all. But, from the side, it looks a little fun.

Defeated opponents can be brought in victim, Just Kill Or even Enter in them, as mentioned above. Honestly, I did not notice the difference between murder and bringing to victim And I didn’t understand why it was needed. Honestly, the process of building the base seemed to me monotonous and not interesting. But maybe I just don’t like such a gameplay, and fans of the genre will like.

Visually, the game does not look super, but I didn’t have any special claims of the schedule. Okay, at least does not slow down, which often happens with projects at an early stage of development.

By the way, the authors warn in advance that the demo does not reflect the final state of the project and much can change. Well, probably, it will be so, given that the date of release of the game is not indicated.

Conceptually, comparisons come to mind with Dungeon Keeper And Overlord. In the sense that there is a play for the universal evil.

Evaluate Monsters Domain I probably won’t. I will only say that the game was not particularly interested in me, but this is not connected with its condition (which is far from final), but with the primitive battles and, which seemed boring to me, the construction of the base. Perhaps fans of the genre will fully come in.

The theme of the First World War in games is represented quite weakly. Offhand, I remember only Battlefield 1 And magnificent Valiant Hearts.

U Conscript There is a potential to supplement this list. The events of the game are developing in 1916, during a meat grinder near Verden and the game is good about the spirit of this horror. There is a complete tin around, and the protagonist (Frenchman) is looking for his brother, who just went to the forefront.

Solidly performed games in this style, not so many. And the games made in the style of the First World War and even more so.

Dark FRACTURE – This is a frightening simulator in the spirit Layers Of Fear. True, unlike Layers of fear, He somehow did not particularly hook me.

Perhaps it is affected that a significant part of the game process of the demo, the game holds me in the darkness, where, at best, something can be seen only a couple of steps. Despite the fact that events unfold in a rather closed space – in the morgue.

Perhaps the fact is that I did not always understand what action the game demands from me. This may be due to the insufficient understanding of the English language (although Russian localization is declared for the game, it is not in the demo), but the couple of moments were still embarrassed.

Our protagonist for almost all of the demo says that he would like to smoke, but he cannot take a pack of cigarettes lying in the office, although interaction with it is provided.

Similarly with the key from the exit from the morgue. This key can only be taken at the moment when the hero, under the pressure of supernatural circumstances, decides that there is enough to bring down from him. It is clear that this was done so that when the key is needed, it disappears from the locker and appears almost a side of the chain, which sticks out very crookedly from the ceiling (crookedly – in visual terms). But, damn it, such conventions strain. Here you often keep the keys that, in theory, should constantly use, in the cabinet for things? I believe not. Here, the protagonist has all the keys scattered in different places.

At some point, the phone calls the phone in the protagonist’s office, to which he reacts in that way that this is possible an important call, but naturally does not have time to pick up the phone. And upon returning to the office, the player does not even have the opportunity to work with the phone. In any case, I expected that it would be possible to call back to the last missed number. However, in this case, this is a problem of my expectation.

For some reason, the game has a huge number of drawers on chests of drawers, shelves and tables that can be opened and checked by their contents, but in 90% of cases, there is nothing there.

There is a curious feature with the mental state of the protagonist in the game. In fact, the scale of his psychosis, apparently should replace the health scale, but maybe it will use it somehow more inventively. Perhaps the GG will gain glitches with psychoses or something like that. But in the demo, everything looked screamed.

You can normalize your mental state with a pill (sedative, apparently). And here again we are in wait for a rather idiotic convention. A jar of medicines lies with GG in the office, but he cannot take it at first. The game scared me most of the time is not very scary, although there was a moment where I was normally shugged (it was even heard in the video). But in general, first normal injection, and then some hands sticking out of the walls and floor, which do not even try to grab me. The trailer showed some strange creatures, the design of which slightly resembles the creations of Hans Giger, because I had an association with Skorn, But in the demo, something remotely similar appears only at the very end and at this stage, does not cause any emotional response.

All in all, Dark FRACTURE I did not hook me at all. And I can recommend it even for familiarization with only the connoisseurs of the genre.

Quite pleasant visually, a three-dimensional platformer about the kid and his plush teddy bear who work in the duet, helping each other in overcoming obstacles and running away from the sinister hand that tries to gather the kid.

We play for the kid, and at the right points you can throw a bear out somewhere in the window so that it crawls and open the passage or give him a command so that he will perform the right action in one place, while the boy is busy with something else.

In general, there is a scope for joint actions. And it would be pretty cool if the bear had normally obeyed teams. Instead, in one moment he did not reach the desired object, returned back and generally hid in a corner (perhaps he decided to cry quietly), without reacting to the commands.

And in another game episode, this blanch simply began to behave like a real blank, creating completely not what was required of him, returning to me and looking at me with devoted eyes. At this point, I specifically stuck it for twenty minutes, not understanding what the game wants from me. I was pretty chilled, I could not stand it and climbed into YouTube, look at what needs to be done there. But, even having found out, I could not perform the necessary actions due to the behavior of a plush boob. As a result, after several attempts I got tired of it and I scored the full passage of the demo version.

Perhaps the point is not the game, but the fact that I did not cut down how to play it correctly, but it did not seem obvious to me that in order to force the bear to perform the right action, you should be at a specific point of the screen or something like that like that. To find out this by trial and errors, I did not have the slightest desire for the reason that each attempt requires a series of actions, and this, in turn, takes away time and greatly annoys its reproductiveness.

I also had problems with the perspective in places when it was necessary to jump over the objects not to the side, but deep into the screen. But specifically here it is more likely not in the game, but in the acquisition of the desired dexterity and the need to get used to such a prospect.

From the good, I would note a pleasant picture and good music, to which, by the way, YouTube cursed for copyright, but not much cursed, so it was possible to score. There are also interesting approaches to solving problems in the game, such as starting a toy train, to light the path.

The problems of interaction with the plush blanant, by the way, could have been avoided if it could be played in a cooperative (in the manner It Takes Two) or if they made the opportunity to switch to the bear at the right points.

As a result, a couple of unpleasant moments pretty much spoiled me the impression of the game. And this is a shame, since she has the potential. So, I carefully recommend trying to look at the demo on your own and already decide on your own whether you want to overcome the difficulties of understanding with a bear or not.

The game has a rather unusual visual style than it attracted my attention. The color scheme consists in the vast majority of red and blue tones. At the same time, on the screen, something is constantly flickering, from which the picture looks very outgiving and far from everyone will have to taste. Therefore, at the entrance to the game, we are honestly warned that it is better not to meddle with epileptics here. And I advise you to consult this advice!

I did not observe epileptic attacks, so I bravely began to pass the demo. Which, by the way, is quite short.
